Happy Halloween everyone! I've always been into this holiday but I already did most of my festivities over the weekend. My friend and I are going to sit on my porch and hand out candy tonight and look at the cute little costumes and eat most of the candy ourselves....oops? Well, we decided that next year we were going to have a party. So, that translates into "start planning/pinning/buying NOW" (we do things big around here!)
I can't wait to read your blogs and see what you wore & did for Halloween!

I am linking up with Marionberry Style today for a trend of the month post (boots and booties!) Check it out and join in!

Brights for Fall!

Don't put away those bright colors just yet! As the temperature cools down, you can incorporate your colored denim in new ways. Use unexpected colors together (navy blue with pink) and fun patterns in layering pieces.

Happy Monday!

Holly Go Lightly

Tonight I volunteered at McDonalds for the school I work for.
We got to dress up and it was so fun! I was (as you can see) Holly Go Lightly. It was an easy costume to put together and I had so much fun.

2) I have never broken a bone, despite being an extremely clumsy person.
3) I took dance lessons for the first 14 years of my life.
4) I worked at the Gap for over a year.
5) My favorite band is the Beatles. My favorite songs are Let it Be and Hey Jude. (I wanna name my son Jude)
6) My mom has 11 siblings so I have a huge family.
7) I have a black rabbit named Jet (my high school mascot lol)
8) I have a serious Sonic drink addiction...if you're from the south you probably understand this.
9) I can quote the movie She's the Man like it's my own life.
10) I sing in an a capella group.
11) I SUCK at putting my clothes up the way I should...it's bad.

11 questions Jayne asked:

1) What is your biggest dream?
Realistically, to be a teacher. I always have wanted to and I love kids.
My pipe dream would be to either be a singer, or start an a capella group with Acapella ministries or be a dancer for a ballet company.
2) Where would you go on your dream vacation?
Ireland! I have always wanted to go there so very bad! I plan to someday.
3) What is the most important thing to you?
My church and my relationship with God. I feel so lucky to have been raised in the Church and have  such a great group of people surrounding me. My family is also really important to me.
4) Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry?
All! I really do not have a preference...if it has sugar, I probably love it. ha!
5) What's your favorite accessory?
Scarves! I own 62 scarves (I counted just for you guys) I have always been really bad about wearing jewelry, it just bothers me and I'll take em off and lose em. So I started wearing scarves to add color and texture to my wardrobe instead, and it took off. I love em.
6) If you could go back in time what time period would you go to?
The 60s! I just think it would be amazing to go back and listen to the Beatles live and go to record shops and stuff like that. I would definitely love to do that.
7) What's your favorite time of the year?
The one we are in! Seriously, I love Fall and Halloween time. I love football and cold windy days and all of it. I also love the Holiday times, Thanksgiving and Christmas and NewYears. The last half of the year is just always better than the first in my eyes.
8) What's your favorite movie?
Either Across the Universe or She's the Man!
9) What's your biggest fear?
I have a serious fear of rollercoasters; I can't even get myself on one. It's one of the few things I am actually terrified of. It's strange.
10) Would you change anything in your life right now?
No, I can say with all honesty I would not change a thing.
11) Can you speak more than one language?
Absolutey not; I can barely speak English some days!

11 questions for you! :

1) What is the meaning of your name and do you know how you got it?
2) What is your favorite thing to do (besides blog!)
3) What is your high school stereotype? (nerd, popular kid, band geek, etc.)
4) Why did you name your blog what it is named?
5) What is your favorite quote?
6) If you could go back in time what time period would you go to?
7) What are you going to be/what have you been in the past for Halloween?
8) Who is your favorite singer?
9) What is one annoying habit you wish you could break?
10) If you had all the money in the world and could only shop at one place, what would it be?
11) What is your hidden talent?

OOTD: Hipsta Please

Not much to say today other than it FINALLY got cold here in Oklahoma....but it feels like winter. I went to class today and then helped with my mom's first grade class. I made them "bones" (pretzels with mini marshmallows on either end dipped in white chocolate) since they were working on a skeleton unit and it's almost Halloween...they turned out really cute. :) If you follow me on the instagram, you saw them.

So, soon you will be seeing my extensive collection of coats! I'm excited I have 8. Seriously. But today, I was slumming it college kid style and drug out the old leather jacket. :)

Happy Friday!!
